Some quick ways to upgrade your home's exterior

If you are looking to add a little pep to your home's exterior, a little elbow grease and some time in your yard will go a long way in upgrading your home's appearance outside. One key area that will brush up your home's outdoor appeal is a little landscaping. Invest in blooms that will flower all season long. The earlier you plant, the faster you will see the results. Try bright flowers and seeding grass. Also plant shrubs and other plants that will grow during the winter and fall as well. If you really want to get fancy, invest in potted plants or even hanging baskets.

The key to sprucing up your home's exterior through gardening is selecting a wide range of plants that will make your home look good regardless of the season. Keep a calendar of when to plant so you can invest a few weekends each season planting that season's grass, flowers, and shrubs. It's not a bad bargain-invest a couple of weekends planting and reap the benefits season after season. Of course, make sure that your plants are well-maintained. Nothing makes your home's exterior look worse than an overgrown and/or badly neglected garden.
