June 11, 2012 It is easier to create an eye-catching floral arrangement if you just use one type of flower. One key styling trick you can use is to get 3 or 4 bunches of mixed flowers and then segregate each flower type into separate groupings. This produces different flower posies. To achieve a magazine-style design effect, use just a single flower type and use the right type of vessel to complement your selection.
Some effective yet sample design ideas include: cutting roses short and arranging them in a simple bowl. Their short lengths draw eyes from their stems to their blossoms. For a simple but effective design, try putting one rose in a small tumbler and put it on a window sill. Simply lovely.
Put snap dragons in a vase styled like a pail or in a cylinder shaped vase. The open mouth of the container composes the flowers. Make sure it is filled adequately. Nice and snug, not loose and scattered.
To bring a summer ambience to any arrangement, use hydrangeas. They are very easy to work with and easily fill any vessel. Great candidates for vessels for these flowers are drinking pitchers, soup tureens, and even salad bowls.
